VISA & Waiver Issues
J-1 Waivers and H-1-B Sponsors
To our knowledge,
the H-1-B Cap has not influenced physicians receiving J-1 VISA
Waivers. This is not to say it cannot, however, to date our
candidates have not been denied H-1-B Sponsorship.
The HHS has
changed their criteria and are accepting HSPA's with a score of
14 or higher as eligible areas. This makes it, to say the least,
difficult to work with them.
It seems that most
of the states have adapted well to the additional slots of the
new, "Conrad State 30" program and the doors are opening
evermore to sub-specialties.
